China has issued a warning to Pakistan that terrorism strikes in the future targeting Chinese nationals engaged in CPEC projects will negatively affect their friendship. Beijing warned that there would be serious consequences on relations if Islamabad failed to stop attacks on Chinese nationals and interests in the Islamic Republic after investing upwards of USD 48 billion in 52 China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
