Xilamuren Grassland is the closest grassland near Hohhot with a 1.5-hour drive. It is the earliest grassland to have been developed as a tourism attraction in Inner Mongolia, and thus it has the best facilities amongst all the grasslands of this region. Every summer, the traditional Naadam Festival with many featured activities also held there.
