Kingpin Cooling T-REX Rev 4 CPU LN2 Pot - Overview & Performance Test
Kingpin just released a brand-new revision of the popular CPU LN2 container, the Kingpin Cooling T-REX Revision 4. The new revision is geared more towards full pot operation with the latest Rocket Lake and upcoming Alder Lake generations in mind. Same design also helps with the initial pull down speed.
The weight has come down around 400 grams compared to the previous version but surface area has increased a lot which will help to maintain the coldest temperatures possible at full pot with high multicore loads. To my eye the outcome looks great, the biggest question mark now is that is this worse for the HEDT CPUs like 10980XE or W-3175X compared to the previous one.
On the video I take a close look at the pot, compare it to the previous revision including internals and show how I insulate the pot + some actual performance tests.
