PREY LANG before the axe falls ព្រៃឡង់
The Prey Lang Landscape contains some of Cambodia’s largest remaining areas of
forest that are not under official government protection. It could also rank as one of
the more significant areas of lowland evergreen forest in the Indo-Burma region, one
3 of the world’s top ten biodiversity ‘hotspots’ - the planet’s most biologically rich and
threatened regions. In total, Prey Lang supports nationally and regionally important populations of 55 globally threatened animals. In particular it is a hugely important place for the
conservation of Cambodia’s birds, home to 44% of all species.
