MediaTek designs and develops silicon wafers for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions across the world. Based in Taiwan, the company uses AWS to deploy its services internationally so that its IoT developers—one of MediaTek Labs’ core focuses—can access the company network. That allows them to perform remote upgrades to firmware, as well as check dashboards and manage devices, even with 27 offices across 12 countries. By using AWS, MediaTek’s time to development has decreased by 50 percent, speeding time to market and enabling the company to expand internationally.
