Secure Your Facebook Account From Getting Hacked In 2023
In this video, I provide some useful tips on how to protect your Facebook account and avoid being hacked.
First, I suggest enabling two-factor authentication on your account. This adds an extra layer of security by requiring you to enter a code sent to your phone or email in addition to your password when logging in. Another tip is to use a strong and unique password for your account. Avoid using easily guessable passwords such as your name or birthdate, and consider using a password manager to generate and store strong passwords for you. Finally, be cautious when clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources, as these can potentially contain malware that could compromise your account.
To enable 2-factor authentication (2FA) on your Facebook account:
1. Go to the "Security and Login" section in your Facebook account settings. You can find this by clicking on the down arrow in the top right corner of the page and selecting "Settings & Privacy" from the dropdown menu.
2. In the "Security and Login" section, click on the "Edit" button next to "Two-Factor Authentication."
3. Select the option to "Use two-factor authentication."
4. Follow the prompts to set up 2FA. You will be given the option to use a security key, authenticator app, or SMS text message as your second factor of authentication. Choose the option that works best for you.
5. Once you have set up 2FA, you will be prompted to enter a code from your chosen second factor whenever you log in to your Facebook account or make certain changes to your account settings.
By enabling 2FA, you are adding an extra layer of security to your account, which can help protect against unauthorized access. It is important to keep your second factor of authentication secure and to use a strong, unique password for your Facebook account.
