Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwiches at Uncle Sid’s Deli, Toronto
One day we had a taste for a good Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich. There used to be a variety of places to get smoked meat sandwiches, but they seemed to have all closed. Now, of course, if you head north of the city, there are a lot to be found, but downtown we were limited. So I found Uncle Sid's Deli. They sell a lot more than Smoked Meat, but that was our focus. We ordered 1 Montreal Smoke Meat and 1 Pastrami, so you could see the difference. We also ordered fries and potato pancakes. I preferred the fries, which were very nice and crispy. The deli itself is quite small. There is limited seating. It is located a short walk from Landsdowne Station, on Bloor St - so it would be a destination. But if you are looking to try Montreal Smoked meat you should check out Uncle Sid's.
