Even Bigger Fall Leaf Cleanup! - Early November
This week, I am really buried in oak tree leaves! Theres a thick blanket of them along the front of the house, and some windy days have blown many of the leaves out into the back yard.
So today I'm going to do the same things I did last week, but now with even more leaves to mulch up! I'm going to blow all of the leaves that are on the street, on to my front lawn. Then I'm going to blow all the leaves that are on the driveway into one big piles. After that I'm going to mow the lawn including mulching up all of these leaves right in place on the lawn. Then I'm going to use the Yard Vacuum to suck up all the leaves on the driveway.
After all that leaf work, I'll finish mowing the back yard and any leaves that are spread much thinner around there. This time of year, I'm lowing the height of my lawn mower by one notch every week. Keeping your lawn short for winter is supposed to be better for it, even though thats kind of counterintuitive.
I'll be using my husqvarna mower today, plus my craftsman yard vacuum (c.a. 1994), my ryobi leaf blower, and I'll briefly use a troy bilt push mower too. And of course, I'll need to use my hand rake.
There's still some more leaves to drop, but at this point the majority of them have fallen. So next week, this job won't be as bad.
