Minecraft is a game set in a world that’s pretty similar to earth, and because of this it’s always walked a fine line between realism and abstraction, turning real-world concepts into functional gameplay mechanics. But what about crafting? The numerous crafting recipes in the game are certainly based in reality, but they all have elements of abstraction. We mostly assume these recipes just wouldn’t work in reality, but could they? The only way to know for sure is to try them out, and I decided to start with the cake recipe!
I'm also thinking of testing Redstone IRL (conductive dust circuitry?) and some other crafting recipes, so if you like this one a lot, PLEASE let me know in the comments that you want more vids like it! Otherwise it could be a while before I make another minecraft-related video.
