Sandstorm - a free, self hosted, open source web application deployment and management console.
I was recently asked to try out Sandstorm.io https://sandstorm.io/ - a free, self hosted, open source web application deployment and management console. It's an extremely interesting bit of software, allowing an administrator to deploy and share out installations of collaboration style web applications from a single management console.
Such applications include RocketChat, PaperWork, Davros, and many, many more.
I had mixed experience on this one, so it's worth a watch if you have 20 minutes to spare. My first run through install and usage was smooth as silk, and everything worked very, very well. My second and third attempts did not go as well, and I'm honestly not certain why.
I believe the folks over at Sandstorm are doing something really great, and I will definitely be coming back to see how the experience improves, and how the apps they offer evolve over time.
