Deus Ex Mankind Divided launched in late 2016 to a positive, yet more muted response than its prequel, Human Revolution, released in 2011. A silly preorder campaign, publisher shenanigans, and the immersive sim (for the most part) never being a large seller from Square Enix didn't help Eidos Montreal, and a reason why Deus Ex Mankind Divided failed from a sales standpoint.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided sat in my steam backlog for awhile after picking it up on sale. After being on an immersive sim kick as of late, I finally installed it and made my way through it, and enjoyed it greatly, and great use of your time in 2020.
This Mankind Divided review, analysis, critique, and retrospective looks into why that is the case.
Instead, the world needs more of the immersive sim. Long live 0451.
