Why are my energy bills going up and what can I do about it?
People across Scotland are set to find out how much their energy bills are likely to rise.
Energy regulator Ofgem will soon announce the price cap for the coming year – the maximum amount suppliers can charge customers on standard tariffs.
The current cap is £1277 – but experts expect that to rise by nearly £700.
We asked Gary Caffell, energy and utilities editor at Money Saving Expert, to explain what’s going on.
