Aang Angers the God of Faces...
The God of Faces Grants Azula One Wish... #avatarthelastairbender #avatar #atla After Azula steals a wish from the God of Faces she finds out that her mother actually came to the God and had her face changed to a much plainer one, with Zuko recognizing her as Noriko the wife of Noren that they met earlier in the story, however the water benders that were there still want the Mother of Faces to help them, however when she abandons them telling everyone she only grants ONE wish per season, we see Aang dive into the sacred pool to go after her, as he forms an air bubble around himself and even sees faces on all of the fish and rocks below the surface, as he’s approached by 4 massive crabs that begin to attack him, causing Aang to use Waterbending to freeze their claws as he calls out to the mother of faces asking her how she can be so cruel. At that moment a massive face in the earth begins to spit out bubbles as they form a massive jet stream that shoots aang out of the water, and when this happens we see the Mother of Faces return telling Aang that since the beginning of time she crafted everyone’s face with love and care, however humans keep coming to her asking them to make another one like she’s their servant and her work is inadequate. From here she tells Aang that even though he’s the avatar he’s just as greedy as the rest of the humans, as all around him he hears the words GET OUT, and the God of Faces turns the entire forest against them.
