Peavy XR-800 Mixing Console Demo - 1980s
My 11 year old son and I are purchasing vintage Peavy professional equipment on eBay for fun. Here’s a Peavy 1980s XR-800 mixing console with reverb. 200WPC @ 8 ohms, dual channel amp, 8 inputs. I can’t find a single thing wrong with it and it sounds great for $50 + $75 shipping. Opened it up and it’s remarkably clean inside and built like a tank.
We spent most of the night polishing and detailing. You can EQ each input and also has master EQ out, so it can add or subtract the bass or treble in an exponential and clean manner. And has clipping protection. I’m quite impressed, this was a shot in the dark, and can’t believe how nice this sounds using regular speakers.
