We showcased the extraordinary capabilities of the QuickTECH T8 HYBRID 9-axis twin spindle mill/turn center, featuring a turret and a B-axis, along with the TRACER VS-65LE short bar loader live at PMTS 2023!
In this demonstration, we highlighted the power of heavy cutting on the main turret to produce a high-volume brass air nozzle, while seamlessly incorporating sub spindle "free" work overlapping. The results are astounding as we machined a 2” diameter lead-free brass form Weiland Chase into a fully functional nozzle in just 180 seconds!
The powerful and precise main turret effortlessly pushed a 1” inserted drill at a remarkable 1750 RPM and 24 IPM, achieving a depth of 2.5” with unparalleled accuracy. Meanwhile, the sub spindle took charge of the nozzle's tip, delivering a flawless contour finish to complete the part.
