Introduction to the haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stain, the most widely performed stain to visualise and diagnose tissues and pathology samples.
Part 1 of 3 introduces the stain and the components of it. OK. OK. I know most large-scale pathology labs have automated processes these days, but these resources are useful for bioscience students who still need to understand the principles of the stain and chemistry. Also, there are many labs around the world and out in the field who won't have access to whizzy equipment.
