Richmond Unites for MLK Day of Climate Action Day
On Monday, January 15, 2024, California Volunteers will join forces with Richmond leaders and community organizations for a full day of climate activities. The 17th Annual MLK Day of Service on the Richmond Greenway honors the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Volunteers will tend the Greenway Gardens, and plant trees and native plants. At noon, volunteers will gather at Unity Park to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy.
Community Climate Action Days are an opportunity for Californians to work on projects that will protect their communities against the harshest impacts of climate change while improving quality of life and access to green spaces.
