My Thoughts On The Song/Chart: An honestly overdue custom for RB that i commissioned @SkyDownRB to do. With this finally charted, we now have most of the famous Sonic Franchise OPs charted, which Sonic as a franchise is well known for it's banger music tracks.
Even if the game associated with this song is considered bad, (and somewhat embarrassing for it's edge.) this is one of my favorite Crush 40 Bangers and a great tune overall.
The song is pretty straightforward on Guitar, this song lacks a Guitar Solo which is quite unusual for Crush 40 but still manages to be a fun time overall.
Song Facts:
“I Am… All of Me” is the theme song for the game Shadow the Hedgehog. The song summarizes the overall concept of the game, specifically its style of branching paths based on morals, similar to games like Fable. It also tells Shadow’s mindset of how he does not care what others think about him – he is who he is, and nothing others say will change that.
SEGA originally wanted American rock band Magna-Fi, who performed the hero ending theme for the game All Hail Shadow, to perform the opening theme for the game. Instead of Crush 40’s “I Am… All Of Me,” the main theme for Shadow The Hedgehog would have been Magna Fi’s “Who I Am.”
After SEGA failed to get in touch with the band, they contacted Crush 40 to make the main theme song, in addition to their pre-existing ending theme song, “Never Turn Back.”
