Exceptional convoys: a monster on my trailer!
Some truckers around the world perform the complex task of transporting exceptionally heavy and oversized loads. Convoys of this magnitude require drivers to be extremely vigilant with regard to the maintenance and good condition of their vehicles.
Quebecer Clément Paquet must cross three provinces of Canada to deliver a gigantic piece of wind turbine tower. His truck, articulated in three pieces, is equipped with a double hydraulic trailer weighing more than 75 tonnes and measures 50 meters long... a real road monster!
Clément must transport the base of the wind turbine, the largest and heaviest section of the structure. This very risky journey requires constant concentration and attention to detail so as not to endanger the lives of road users and their team.
In France, Cyril Marquetoux, for his part, must transport a barge without incident through towns and small villages to get from Alsace to Burgundy. A long journey prepared more than a year in advance to avoid unforeseen events as much as possible.
