Entering the U.S. Air Force in 1958, the Republic F-105 Thunderchief – nicknamed the “Thud” – was the largest single-seat fighter ever produced and flew more missions than any other American plane in the Vietnam War. Join curator Matthew Burchette as he tours this aircraft with former F-105 “Wild Weasel” pilot Charlie Johnson, who shares his amazing stories of flying the most dangerous missions over Vietnam.
