Hello guys, this is the second video of the tutorial series "Status Updating Application in Android Studio with #Firebase Firestore #Recyclerview ".
In this video I have shown you guys that which dependencies we are going to use in this project and how to add those into your project. Following are the dependencies which I have added into the project.
com.firebaseui:firebase-ui-firestore:4.1.0
com.google.firebase:firebase-core:16.0.7
In the next section I have explained that how to connect your application with Firesbase Firestore by using the built in assistant of Firebase in Android Studio.
Then I have shown you guys that how to create a new project in Firestore, how to create a firestore collection and how to add a document inside your firestore collection in database section.
In the next step I have taught you guys that how to create #EditText, #button, #RecyclerView in your activity_main.xml file and then how to connect these XML views with your Java view inside MainActivity.java class.
Then in the last step I have taught you guys that how to use the object of #FirebaseFirestore class to add documents inside Firstore database.
