Vectorworks Python Automatic 3x Layout
Hi,
this automatic Layout maker has been created for an specific structure of layers and classes.
It creates 3 different Layout:
1- For the client as information, with the basic info of the plan(walls, columns, limits) and the legend.
2- For the client: is the copy of his suspension points on the hall.
3- For internal use: with elements that are irrelevant for clients but very useful for the building phase.
It requires 3 steps:
A - position at 0,0 of the printing area.
B - To choose a layer of the client.
C - Just run the script
the rest of the work it is done by the script:
1 - Checking the name of the layer: it is from the group of layer of a client or is something else?
2 - with the name choose the right layer with the limits of the stand
3 - increasing the view area with 500cm at least on each side
4 - Redefining a bigger paper size if needed: A3 to A2 to A1 to A0
5 - creating a copy to define the layout.
6 - creating 3 Layouts
7 - defining the names: Layout-Nr & Layouttittel using the name of the project
8 - defining ON / OFF Classes for each layout
9 - defining ON / OFF Layers for each layout
10 - Copying from Plankopft every element to each layout.
11 - Moving each layout to the coordinates 0,0
Now every layout is ready to print.

Predefined layers and classes. No human mistakes.
Perfectly centered in the drawing. Always.
Remember: the date is empty by default, so update before printing
