Dr. Vera Hammer - Curatrix at the Natural History Museum in Vienna, Austria - joins us for Episode Nine of Mineral Talks LIVE as she broadcasts direct from inside the museum - home of some of the oldest documented minerals in European history.
In our LIVE episode, Dr. Hammer was experiencing internet connection issues which led to a mostly audio interview. However, immediately after our interview, Vera shot a video of herself walking through the museum and pointing out many of the interesting features and specimens in the museum collection. It is that video that we are, mainly, presenting here.

Mineral Talks LIVE is a joint-venture effort put on by BlueCap Productions, the Mineralogical & Geological Museum at Harvard University and the Society of Mineral Museum Professionals (SMMP). This series was created as a response to the COVID-19 situation that has been greatly affecting the mineral world by isolating and separating us. Our goal is to bring a new venue where the mineral world can re-connect with each other during these difficult times.
