📝 Description: In this tutorial, we'll be controlling an RC Car with an Xbox controller through a Raspberry Pi! 🚀 We will be going over how to create a udev rule to start a systemd job when the Xbox controller connects to Raspberry Pi. We are doing this so that we will not have to log SSH into the Raspberry Pi every time you want to use the RC Car. After we set this up, you can connect the Xbox controller to the Pi and control the RC Car automatically. This video will not discuss how to control a DC Motor or Servo with an Xbox controller. I have dedicated videos on how to accomplish that, which are here. 🤖💡

🛠️ Project Overview:
We are setting up a udev rule to check if the Xbox controller is connected automatically. When our udev rule sees that the Xbox controller is connected, it will start the systemd job that we created called “Blackbriar.service.” We will also need to set up the “Blackbriar.service” so that when it starts, it will run our Python program, allowing us to control the servo and the DC motor with the Xbox controller. Then, voila, we have an RC Car that an Xbox controller controls.
