Yes, I’m a Metal drummer. But honestly, Larnell gives me shivers every time I see him playing.
I discovered him in the video of "Lingus", where he plays with Snarky Puppy, and I was immediately amazed by his game; I have never seen such precision and creativity in a single drummer.
I learned a lot watching him play, and then one day I thought, "Come on, now, enough looking, so try to play what he does".
And then, after a few hours of transcribing all this monstrous solo, I started to sweat on it and that’s when I really understood Larnell’s talent.
He leaves nothing to chance...
This man is a reference for today’s musical world; think about devouring all his other videos ;)
