Oriental (literally - eastern) is a cat breed officially recognized in 1977 in the USA. Distinctive features are a long slender body, refined bones and strong muscles, a wedge-shaped head, very large ears, a thin long tail, playfulness, talkativeness, a friendly character, and affection for humans.
Belongs to the Siamese-Oriental breed group.
