Porsche 911 Manual vs PDK | The Good and The Bad
The Porsche 911 is one of the few sports cars that’s still offered with a manual transmission. The dilemma is that, Porsche also offers the 911 with a fantastic PDK. So which one should you choose?
In this video I have two 992 generation Porsche 911 Carrera S. One is equipped with a 7 speed manual transmission and the other with a 8 speed PDK. Of course the constant between these two cars is the fantastic 3 liter twin turbo engine that produces 443 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque and that they are both coupe cars.
Now, having to pick between the manual vs the PDK is an unbelievably hard choice, as both are wonderful to use and work well with the Carrera S powertrain. But, what are the differences between the two transmission. What's good about each. How do each excel or need improvement in different driving situations. And, which one I would pick? I cover all that in this video.
