A Crash Course in Server Backends like Docker For Unity Developers
Over this past year, I have had a chance to immersive myself in back end development since joining MobiledgeX and I think it would be such a shame to not take some of the things I have learned around back end development and make them accessible for the broad AR / VR Community!
Back End Development especially in the context of Virtual and Augmented Reality is becoming especially more relevant as more users continue to join the community and also as a means to build even more revolutionary applications.
Whether a use case revolves around Databases, Real Time Streaming, or Compute Offload in specific use cases like Leaderboards, Multiplayer, Remote Rendering / CloudXR, there is so much opportunity to think outside of the box with Back-End Development to make even more immersive applications!
In this video, we will break down some of these high level concepts such Virtual Machines, Docker, Kubernetes. We will also take an actual use case with Photon Engine and dissect it a little bit to understand how it really works under the hood to make it possible to do Multiplayer for VR and AR and Unity!
