In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to connect to a SQLite database in Excel using VBA and pull records into Excel.
SQLite is a lightweight open source database system. Very similar to Microsoft Access, it stores tables and records as a file, and it doesn’t have the 2GB storage limit like Access has. The drawback with a SQLite database is the database doesn’t come with an interface to manage tables and run queries. Fortunately, there are quite many web applications and free software you can download to manage a SQLite database. If you are an Excel (or Office) application, and needs a database, SQLite is a great choice.
