After the success of our first competition this past June, we're excited to announce Season 2 of Project Odyssey! We’re going even bigger, supporting 9 filmmaking categories, providing over $750,000 in free trials, and awarding over $70,000 in cash prizes to become the world’s largest AI Film competition!

Foster opportunities for creators to get hands on, regardless of background or experience in filmmaking or in AI
Support creators with significant free trials and monetary prizes, not just exposure, to kickstart their AI Filmmaking journey

Timeline
December 2nd: Sign ups for Project Odyssey Season 2 open
December 16th: Free trials are provided, rules are released, and the submission period officially opens
January 16th: The submission period closes, and judging begins
February 14th: Winners are announced via an Award Show Live Stream
Categories:
Narrative: Develop strong characters and impactful storylines that can resonate with audiences as a short film or pilot episode.
Music Video: Create a music video or visualizer for a song you have permission to use, or one that you've generated with AI.
Marketing: Using a fictional brand, create a convincing spec advertisement, commercial, or social media campaign.
Trailers: Produce a trailer, intro sequence, or concept video for an original TV Series or Film.
Rendering: Rotoscope or style transfer video input footage or animated 3D models to showcase AI's powerful capabilities as a VFX render engine.
Open Format: Experiment and push the limits of the medium through video art, a meme, an interactive film, a game, or something else that doesn’t fit into the other categories.
Storyboards & Pitch Decks: Use generative images tools, develop a storyboard or a pitch deck of a film you'd like to make in the future.
Behind-The-Scenes: Part of what makes the AI community so amazing is its advocacy for open-sourcing, sharing, and education. Spotlight your personal story as a creator, and showcase the craft, techniques, and passion you put into your Project Odyssey submission.
