Don't do this Photography mistake when shooting on Location!
We all been there and we all did it and still do sometimes.
And we don’t carry sandbags around to weigh down our lightstand because we don’t want to because we are lazy sometimes or we think we gonna be alright.
I know for myself what hustle it is to carry all my gear in my camerabag through public transport and additional sandbags is definitley something i don’t want to add to the weight
But there are many other ways how you can make sure your lightstand is as stable as possible.
You could use your camera bag to weigh down your lightstand. Use the models carry case or hand bags,additional jackets.
Or you might be shooting at a location where you find a big piece of rock you can put onto the legs to stabilise the lightstand
Just keep in mind that if you don’t weigh down your lightstand their will be always a risk of the light will fall over because it is never really 100% wind still.
