Luxtorpeda - vintage bullet-train back on track using CGI
Luxtorpeda - polish vintage bullet-train built by Fablok - Chrzanów factory based on Austro-Daimler-Puch design.
Back then it was the state-of-the-art railway vehicle. Due to the high ticket price only the wealthiest people could afford traveling by one of these. Fun fact - it is still a time record holder on Kraków - Zakopane route (2h 18m).
Powered by two diesel engine, it's top speed was around 130 km/h
Only 5 pieces were built. All of them were destroyed during WWII or soon after.
An attempt to rebuild one never got underway, so I decided to reconstruct it using digital 3D technology and plans and photos from the period to make the model as close to original as possible.
