This week's guest reader for 52 Weeks of Reading is Chelsea Reyes-Velasquez, a student in the Teachers for Tomorrow program at the Charles W. Day Technical Education Center. She is reading Kindness Week written by Tahiya Cooper and illustrated by Patricia Grannum.
Roanoke City Public Schools' 52 Weeks of Reading program promotes literacy, critical thinking, and family engagement. Every Wednesday at 7 p.m., students and their families are invited to tune in for a virtual story time, featuring special readers who will encourage families to have discussions following the storytime.
