I've finally decided to try and remake Portal's iconic portal mechanic - so I reimplemented in Godot, and I actually got pretty good results! Here's my devlog of this whole experience, where I explain how I gradually boosted my project to eventually go beyond what most tutorials about portals teach you about :)
Important note: I absolutely don't mean to criticize the various creators I mentioned in any way - their projects are amazing and they all were a true inspiration here! It was just a click-baity way to have you pick the video ;)
