Electrophoresis is one of the widely used technique for the separation and purification of bio-molecules like DNA, RNA and protein. Electrophoresis means movement of charged particles under the influence of an external electric field. Electrophoresis can be of several types such as Agarose gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Capillary electrophoresis, 2D gel electrophoresis and pulse field gel electrophoresis.
