How To Find A Font In Photoshop by using an image and then opening it in Photoshop.
Identifying fonts isnt always that easy. If you want to know how to identify fonts from image for free, or need a font for a logo in Photoshop so you can reproduce it in vector format from bitmap, then this video reveals a really simple way to match it.
This problem is quite common when you inherit a client of you purchase a business and no one has the original logo files. You don't want to totally re-brand and you want to match the original font in the logo so closely that no one would be able to tell.
Why Would You Need to Find A Font From an Image?
Why would you need to find a font from an image in the first place? You may find you want to replicate the font from your logo for a large banner. It could be you have to reproduce your logo at a quality and size that requires a high definition version. The difficulty is, sometimes all you have is the small GIF or PNG logo on the website. This is probably a bitmap logo (made up of pixels) and the larger you increase the logo the worse the quality is. So this is where you need a vector version of the logo.
That's often the reason why a small business or designers now need to reproduce the font from the logo. There lies the challenge. Nobody has the source files for the logo and no one can remember what font was used when the logo was initially designed.
