No cost + no tools method of fixing what looks like screen burn in/ghosting/ghost images on an iPad. This method 'hides' the problem by using 'reduce white point'. I'm not 100% sure why this works, and would appreciate if anyone can explain it.
It seems that the problem is induced by pixels retaining brightness, so reducing the maximum brightness makes this problem less obvious. "reduce white point" is not the same as reducing screen brightness, although there is overlap in what it looks like to the end user.
If your device has a physical wire shorting or loose wire issue, this will NOT solve your problem.
If your device screen intermittently has issues which appear/disappear by flexing the device, this method will NOT solve your problem either.
