7 Ways Warhammer Chaosbane Appeals To Diablo AND Warhammer Fans
Warhammer Chaosbane is Warhammer meets Diablo. You’ll hack-and-slash through legions of Chaos - our Chaosbane gameplay shows off a new Dwarf Slayer character class - but the game adds a few ideas to the mix. A new ‘archetypal move’ gives you an extra layer of control, especially good with High Elf magic. Here are some early preview thoughts.
If you’re looking for Warhammer Chaosbane classes, this new gameplay shows off the three that have been revealed. We play as a Dwarf Slayer (using powerful axes to fly around the world). The imperial soldier (with a handy shield bash for stunning big bads) and the High Elf mage, who can steer projectiles with the right analogue stick. Our favourite of the Chaosbane classes is the High Elf, if only because you can pilot a fireball right into a demon’s gob. Which the Warhammer Chaosbane characters most appeals to you? This isn’t a Warhammer Chaosbane review - we’ve played two levels of an early preview building. But hopefully these Warhammer Chaosbane impressions gives you an idea of where the game is going. The extra level of control you have over abilities is a nice addition to the Diablo formula - but this is mainly Warhammer Diablo. We played Warhammer Chaosbane co-op for the session, seeing how damage scales for more players and how you do battle for resources to charge up your powerful bloodlust attack. Chaosbane co-op is made easier thanks to a health selection of co-op options, including four player local co-op on PC and the introduction of a neat on-screen inventory that keeps the action moving.
Well have to wait for a Warhammer Chaosbane release date for a proper Warhammer Chaosbane PC review, but we enjoyed these early hours with the game. The new Dwarf Slayer is quite fun once you get to grips with his grappling axe, and the other Warhammer Chaosbane characters are fun to throw around. We looking forward to seeing all the character classes interacting in a four player session. Should be suitably manic.
