Ryolight Train depot and the Story of Mona Belle
in this episode we explored the boomtown of Ryolight Nevada.
but first we stopped by the residence artist area where back in 1984 a couple of rich guys bought some land at the edge of town and with the help of the locals from Beatty it turned out to be an interesting project.
the town of Ryolight is very interesting once u get the hang of the layout. the train depot is at the top of the gorge (seems to be a common theme here in Nevada) and comes in over the valley from the southeast as it crosses the upper mining district on its way north to Goldfield nv.
as we walked around the town treasa came upon a historic marker that told the story of Mona Belle
