WSUS and Group Policies
Windows Server Update Services provides central control for updates. Management of groups and notifying the client computers of the location of the WSUS server can be a painful process, wasting time and sending the wrong updates , and potentially killing your production machines.
In this video, Senior Technical Instructor Doug Bassett explains how to configure Active Directory Group Policies to point the client computers to the correct WSUS servers. Doug also shows an easy way to get the client computers to self-assign to the appropriate WSUS machine groups automatically, eliminating missconfiguration and aligning your updates to your Active Directory structure.
