"ON THE BEACH” - (Part 1) - CANON EOS M + ML RAW - DAVINCI RESOLVE 16 - GRADED
Here I am, back from a short, one week, holiday (that's why haven't posted for a while but also because of bad weather conditions earlier) to the sea, in a location in county “Liguria”, named “Cervo Ligure” (some 175 miles from where I live), and where I’ve already been in the past and where I took some clips with my other cameras, namely the NIKON D3300 (now sold), the TOMTOM Bandit action cam, the SJCAM SJ5000X Elite (sold) and the SJCAM SJ7 (sold). This time I took my CANON EOS M with Magic Lantern build installed and had the opportunity to take a really large amount of clips on the location and on the beach: I took almost over 550 clips in total for around 38minutes worth of footage. This video is the first of three videos (the other 2 will come next) and is made up of the clips taken in the first couple of days. Due to the really large amount of clips taken, I had to split them in three different videos. This is the first one, the other 2 will follow soon. Overall the weather was good (and also not too hot) except one cloudy day and another where we had a short thunderstorm early in the morning. I therefore had also the opportunity to use/enjoy the EOS M instead of just laying on the beach and sunbathing for most of the day. We stayed in a small camping site with bungalows, right in front of the beach, so everything was handy and close.
So, there it is: this is the first of three videos made up with the clips shot with my EOS M with Magic Lantern custom firmware installed. All clips (shot hand-held, no tripod used) have been taken using MCM rewire 1736x976 RAW mode @25fps. All clips have been first loaded up into MLVApp for preliminary color/exposure/brightness and sharpness correction and then exported for further editing via DaVinci Resolve 16 (latest beta 6 release). Editing, cuts, BG music sync and stabilization were all performed in DaVinci Resolve, along with color grading. Video rendered in just 7 minutes and exported in 4K UHD (upscaled) 3840x2160p @24fps. Video file-size: 4.55GB. Average bit-rate: 90Mb/s.
