Today as I was reviewing my blog post, I noticed that the link of my author page is not working. The link is correct, which is www.listeningva.com/author/admin but it is redirecting to the homepage instead of my author page, it's not a big issue but still it's not working.
This problem occurs because of a conflict from one of the plugins that I used which is Yoast SEO. If I disable this plugin the problem will be solved, but I really like to use plugin for my website's optimization so I don't want to delete it.
So to quick fix to this problem, you just have to edit the file "class-frontend.php"
Which you can find in your hosting's file manager, /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend folder and you'll find the class-frontend.php.
Edit the file. Look for the "function archive_redirect()".
You just have to remove or disable the line where it says disable-author.
In this case, I will just add a comment tag instead of deleting it.
This should solve the problem
