I'm not sure if Heathers is old enough to be considered a throwback musical yet, but here's a throwback cover of Dead Girl Walking.
This one has been a long time coming! I remember back in 11th grade when a friend introduced me to Heathers that this was my favorite song. It was so spicy, so saucy. My heart was set on covering it but 17 y/o Anna had a big storm a’commin because this song is stupidly hard and stupidly high. I desperately wanted to belt this song into oblivion but my voice wasn’t really up to par at the time so hERE I AM NOW, two years later ready to BELT this houseDOWN.
Did I ever struggle with this song though, let me tell you folks. Mixing rock songs are not my forte. They're no where near my forte. Its really rough and I'm sorry about that! I tried my best! I also recorded at the peak of my microphone issues (pop noises, cracking). This cover is peaking city but I'm still really happy with the vocals so we'll suffer through it together!
This cover couldn’t have been done without the amazing January. I love January so much, but I gush about her in all the descriptions of my videos she’s been in. She’s great!
ALSO -- this musical is may not be suitable for everyone! It contains a lot of mature and potentially triggering content! It's a lil bit pg-13 so watch out!
