Farmers in Haryana and Punjab set their fields on fire as a quick way to get rid of the rice stubble from their fields. But this stubble burning has a massive impact on the air quality of North India. Is there a solution? A new technique of converting stubble into compost has been developed by the Indian Agriculture Research Institute in Pusa. This is called the PUSA Bio-Decomposer. Can this be a game-changer?
