WorshipGod Conference Day 1 Recap
We had an amazing time hosting the WorshipGod Conference here in Louisville, KY, last month. We wanted to take the opportunity to highlight each day of the conference in the next few posts! So here it is. Wednesday, DAY 1:
WorshipGod24 began Wednesday afternoon with pre-conference Master Classes for pianists (Bob Kauflin), bass players & drummers (Ryan Foglesong and David Zimmer), vocalists (Lacy Condy and McKenzie Fuller), and guitarists (Patrick Anderson). And for non-musicians who happened to come early, we also offered a general class on Habits of Grace taught by David Mathis. In the first session that night, we learned that more than half of the attendees were first-timers, which explained why this year’s conference was almost double the size of WorshipGod22! After Bob and Devon Kauflin led us in worship in song and before John Piper came to speak, we announced that we were giving away a copy of Tony Reinke’s book, Ask Pastor John, to everyone at the conference. John spoke to us that night from 2 Cor. 1:20 on “Union with Christ and the Promises of God.” It was a message that set the tone for the entire conference, poising us to lean expectantly into all God has given us in Christ.
