This is an electronic HDMI switch allowing the direction of one of 5 HDMI inputs to a single HDMI output. While there is a push-button on the switch to manually select an input source, the Infrared control is more convenient in most circumstances. While other similar switches have the infrared sensor located on the switch, this usually requires awkward placement of the switch. The Fosmon has the infrared sensor on the end of a cable so that the infrared sensor can be placed in a place yielding a clear line of sight to the user. The infrared control has two modes of operation: 1) direct input select and "next input" selection.
