Ultra-Safe & High Capacity Backpacking Stainless Steel Alcohol Stove - Boil Test #1
In this video I do my first boil test on the stove I un-boxed yesterday. This is the "Ultra-Safe & High Capacity Backpacking Stainless Steel Alcohol Stove" I bought on ebay for $19.59 plus shipping. I've also seen the stove called the "Out-D" (for OUTDoors?). I've had several requests to do a review on this stove so I thought I would buy one while I had the research funds. 8-)
Some of the specifications on the OUT-D are as follows:
Material: aluminum & stainless steel
Capacity: about 3.5 liquid alcohol
Net Weight: 8.6 ounces (246 grams) Note: according to fact sheet
Burner Diameter: 2.17" (55.2 mm)
Burner Height: 2.66" (67.7 mm)
STove Height: 3.54 inches (9 cm)
Jets: 18
Distance from jets to bottom of pot: 1" (25.4mm)
I really thought that with the swing-out arms on this stove that just about any pot, large or small, would fit but I found out that the arms only lock into place when they are outward position. Bummer. Here are the results I got on how some of the pots and mugs I have fit on this stove.
What pots and/or mugs work on this stove?

I think the stove is really made for a larger diameter pot holding more water.
