Intel's 8th generation mainstream CPU, based on coffee lake is looking very impressive with geekbench 4 results putting the cpu into a very competitive situation with Ryzen 5 1600x, despite the Coffee Lake 6 core CPU running at much lower clock speeds due to it being an engineering sample.
Also there's been a serious bug discovered in Intel's Hyperthreading for both Skylake and Kaby Lake, which can render the system unstable, lose data or completely crash.
