This is what you need to know about the work experience requirements for the Temporary Skills Shortage 482 visa.
1. You must have the relevant qualifications plus 2 years of full time work experience.
2. For some occupations, you may be able to use work experience in lieu of the qualification.
3. For some occupations you will need to have a skills assessment, this will depend on the occupation, your country of passport and whether you have an Australian qualification.
4. The 2 years full time work experience may be reduced to 1 year by the end of the year.
5. The work experience does not have to be post qualification.
6. If you are using work experience in lieu of your qualification, the 2 years full time work experience does not need to be in addition to this.
