This video shows how to Hide the ribbon (toolbar) in Microsoft Word.
Video Transcript: In this video I want to take just a couple of moments to show you how you can get this ribbon here, which is what this is called, to be removed if you would like to. And the way to do that is using a short cut key it's really quite simple you just press Ctrl + F1 and notice that just removed the ribbon here. Now this does toggle on and off, so I can press Ctrl + F1 again, and that will bring the ribbon back. Now I can also use other methods such as clicking this little up arrow here, that will make the ribbon tuck back in and it's gone. And then if I double-click on any tab here, that brings the ribbon back down. So once again here Ctrl + F1 makes the ribbon retract and Ctrl + F1 brings it back. Now making the ribbon retract can be useful if you need more space to look at a document, so I could press Ctrl + F1 and then that gives me additional space here to preview the document, and then I could always bring him back later, if I want to perform some operations in Word or what have you. This concludes the video for quickly removing and showing the ribbon in Microsoft Word using the Ctrl + F1 shortcut key. Thanks for watching.
